I am so grateful for the four years I was able to watch my son Santino grow up and be mentored by Tim, Carlos and Rich in both Soccer and Baseball. We had a special group of kids and parents and we shared a strong bond. Here is to pizza nights at round table, kids eating grass in the outfield when they were in Shetland, exciting soccer games, and Dairy Queen runs. Tim-Thank you for being a presence in our lives and a reminder to the living of what's important-community and family!

Tim, Your passion and courage will never be forgotten. From a great family man to all you did for the league we salute you now and forever! I enjoyed our battles on the field and talks! Many blessings for you and your family.

I will never forget the first time I spoke with Tim. It was shortly after he became OVPB president and I remember how impressed I was with his communication, professionalism, and kind nature. Every interaction my family ever had with him reinforced his kindness, integrity, thoughtfulness, and heart. He was an amazing human being and beautiful person and we are grateful for having known him.

My buddy Tim, there's so many fond memories, talks and texts that we shared together. He's been there for me, and also leaned on me in his own time of need; for that, I was honored. I want to share a text he sent me just weeks ago after I had expressed my own questioning of God in situations like this and what was or wasn't fair, along with a few expletives in frustration. This was his response; from a once strong and able man who was reduced to just simply wanting to hold down a square meal and be able to pass it. This is a glimpse into the mindset and heart of a man on deaths doorstep, in the words of Tim...
"Yeah I think it's normal to have those questions and I can relate. I try to stand true and believe there's a bigger picture beyond this on why something like this would happen to me, and I just have to keep that faith. I often pray to remind God it's not my time and I still got work to do here, and then I guess I just try to stay strong enough to face each day at a time. It's hard to accept my life right now to look in the mirror and see someone I barely recognize with tubes sticking out all over. But it's me, and this is the hand I'm dealt so I'm gonna play it. Ain't easy but hope that one day I can look back on it and feel strengthened and forged by the fire."
That's a Man amongst men, Timothy Anderson..... RIP Brother!!

A Baseball Player's Prayer
God grant me wisdom, to tell a strike from a ball, to know where to throw and never to fall.
Keep me always in the base line, running straight and true and I'll look for your sign, to stretch one into two.
God give me vision, to see every pitch, so if a player needs help, then I will see which.
Let me always hustle, so I'll be at my best and take pride in myself, in sports and the rest.
God be my strength, when I throw the ball when I'm far from home plate, or against a wall.
So I never miss a base, please guide my feet, bring me home safely, so my job is complete.
When I help younger players, let me always give praise, so they'll see you in me, in all of my ways.
God please guide our coach, to be fair and smart, to teach us to be good, let it come from his heart.
Let me take a loss, just as well as a win, to do any less, is surely a sin.
As long as I can play, let me make my parents proud, as proud as I am, when they yell MY name out loud.
However my games end, let me always have fun and if Heaven has All Stars, I want to be one.
When my games here are over and my seasons are done, let me play on your team, just like your son.
We will miss you Tim, we know you're always on our team

Being that this is our son's first year playing in the Orangeville Pony League, we felt like we hit the Jack pot when we met his manager--Tim Anderson. We recognized instantly how dedicated and positive Tim was. We only knew Tim for a short time, but we feel blessed to have been given that opportunity.

I met Tim about two years ago as I wanted to speak with him about coming over to Orangevale Pony from Folsom Little League. I quickly learned that Tim was a stand up guy and was the main reason I wanted to make the switch. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to someone I look up to so much.

We were blessed more than we knew when our son's first coach was Tim. Tim was more than wins and losses, hit or strikeouts, he was about teaching children what it meant to put on the uniform and play. He taught them to never give up and to always give their best. He knew how to motivate them to give their all, to never give up but above all he taught them grace if only by putting his on display every day.
"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same." - Flavia Weedn
Rest now Tim. You're in God's hands.

I am new to OV Pony. Tim bent over backwards to help me take all the little steps to bring my travel team into the Pony family. When learned he was responding and directing traffic from his hospital bed, i was floored. He simply new it was for the kids. Kids that he did not know, but he knew what OVPony had to offer and he helped make it happen.
Tim showed all of us what the meaning of community in his tireless effort to create a place for kids. He showed us the essence of Grit and what it takes to achieve against odds.
I will forever hold him and his legacy of commitment close. OORah! Tim. OORah.
Mary Bach

Heather Sampognaro, Secretary Fair Oaks Orangevale Little League
We may have never met but share the baseball bond. Above all, baseball brings a large loving family we choose. Most will never know the dedication it takes to run a baseball league. You must have had great love for the sport, your community, and most of all your family. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and league.

Tim was a wonderful, caring, intellectual man. His bright face and delightfully warm laugh will be missed all over and especially in our establishment. The crew at Round Table pizza carry a heavy heart in lue of Tim's passing.
